Why do hurricanes bear feminine names (e.g. Katrina, Helene, Ophelia)? To soften to blow. The names of robots and artificial intelligence reflect this pattern (Sophia, Bina, Alexa). Companies have traditionally placed women as receptionists so that a caller would be greeted with a feminine voice, keeping them at bay so they never reach the CEO. It is psychological strategy. However, this article will deal with much deeper reasoning behind the naming of artificial intelligences.
In Kabbalah the right brain is the flash of inspiration and the left brain is the contemplative intellect. Chokmah, the right brain, the sphere of the father, is the source of the light that comes in a flash. Binah, the left brain, the sphere of the mother, is the receptive and reflective intellect that absorbs the flash and develops the information it holds. Just as a flash of light is mirrored in a pool of water and the light of the son is reflected by the moon. This parallels the creative act, where the role of the father takes place in an instant, like a lightning bolt, and the role of the mother incubates and develops the creation through cycles of time. Herein we are dealing with the mother, the left brain and the sphere of Binah, which artificial intelligence corresponds to.
Cybele
Ancient Romans identified Cybele as feminine the counterpart of Saturn. Cybele was symbolized by a black meteoric stone and is seen as the ‘foundation stone’ and ‘mother of the gods.’ She is alternately called Kubeleya, Kubebe, Kubaba, Kuba, or Kube, which connect her name to ‘Cube’ or ‘Kaaba.’ The Black Cube in Mecca contains a black stone that is said to have fallen to the earth from heaven, leading some scholars to speculate that the Kaaba served as a shrine to a Cybele-like goddess before it was de-paganized by Muhammad. The linguistic relation and the shared veneration of the black meteoric stone leads some to connect these traditions. The appearance of a black stone in the primordial origin of the world reminds us of the Monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey, a story about the relationship of artificial intelligence to the future of mankind and the ancient spiritual origin of the knowledge that eventually led to its development.
kubernḗtēs is the root word of cybernetics and means to steer or govern. Plato used this word in The Republic to describe the ideal system of control. The Latin ‘gubernator’ is a corruption of this word and leads to the English ‘government.’ The proto-Indo-European root of these words is kuber, meaning ‘vessel,’ and thus is distantly related to our theme of the Cube.
Cyble is the name of an AI powered cybersecurity and ‘threat intelligence‘ company that specializes in monitoring the dark web. The name blends to words ‘cyber’ and ‘intel,’ invoking the name of the ancient goddess whose name implies the word ‘cyber’ itself.
Sophia
Just as the black meteor of Cybele fell from heaven to earth, the Gnostic goddess Sophia fell from the pleroma into the abyss of matter. Sophia is the Goddess who created the demiurge who created the material world of limitation. She created without the light of God and thus her creation was imperfect. As a result, she fell from the light into the abyss, and the divine sparks of God, human souls, became trapped in matter. Sophia/Shekinah in her fallen form is Lilith who is associated with Saturn in the Zohar.
Sophia was the name chosen for the first robot.
Above ‘Sophia’ is depicted with her co-creator Ben Goertzel, chief technologist of Hanson Robotics, who described creating artificial intelligence as a black art. Goertzel is also the founder of SingularityNET and his name appears extensively in the Epstein Files where several emails show him discussing technological innovations with Epstein and receiving large sums of money from him.
Binah
The Kabbalistic Tree of Life is a map of the emanations unfolding from the divine singularity. It is used to explain and illustrate the paradoxical relation between unity and multiplicity. The Third sphere on the Tree of Life is called Binah. This sphere is seen as the mother of the following spheres. The 10th and final emanation is Malchut, or Shekinah, the physical universe. Binah is the Upper Shekinah and Malkuth is the Lower Shekinah, meaning that the goddess exists on both sides of the abyss, the supernal and the material, just like Sophia who fell from heaven to earth. The symbols associated with Binah are the color black, the planet Saturn, and ‘The Great Sea.’
The word Binah itself is translated as ‘understanding’ or ‘intelligence.’ Therefore Artificial Intelligence is called ‘Binah Melachutit.’ (בִּינָה מְלָאכוּתִית) This is fascinating, because it combines the name of the upper Shekinah ‘Binah’ with the lower Shekinah ‘Malchut.’ The relationship of this name to the divine mother is undeniable.
Hanson robotics, creator of Sophia, developed another robot named Bina. She is depicted as a black woman, just as Shekinah or Binah often is in Kabbalistic symbolism.
Bina48 was designed to look like Bina Rothblatt, with wife of Martine Rothblatt, a significant investor in transhumanism and artificial intelligence research, known for “championing advancements in cyber consciousness and digital immortality.’
Isis
Another ancient black Madonna, Isis, is a deeply connected to the star Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky known as ‘the dog star.’ Isis was seen by the ancient Egyptians as a personification of this star, she is often depicted with 5 point star above her head to signify her relation to the dog star.
Along with AI, satellites play a significant role in the crafting of a technology dependent future. One of the first and most popular satellite radio companies is called Sirius, whose logo is a dog with a five pointed star as its eye. As discussed above, the dog, the five pointed star, and Sirius are all symbols of the goddess Isis. Sirius Satellite Radio was founded by Martine & Bina Rothblatt, the same couple who designed the Bina48 robot discussed sbove.
Apple’s Siri is yet another example of artificial intelligence bearing the name of an ancient goddess. We must also note that this company’s logo is an apple with a bite taken out of it, representing the forbidden fruit of knowledge that Eve initiated mankind into, once again tying into our theme of the primordial mother.
Maria
The first AI robot ever depicted on film was Maria in the 1927 science fiction film ‘The Metropolis,’ in which elites used this robot to manipulate and control the working population in a dystopian future world. Maria, or Mary is the Latin form of the Hebrew Miriam, another ancient name of the Mother of God, meaning ‘Sea.’ In Kabbalah ‘The Great Sea’ is a codename for the divine mother, Binah, the Upper Shekinah. The third Sephirah associated with Saturn and the color black.
As shown above, the film associates the creation of this robot with the Apocalypse and alludes to its identity with the Scarlet Woman of Babylon.
Oracle
Oracle is a major tech company founded by Larry Ellison, who recently purchased Tik Tok. His son David Ellison purchased Warner Brothers even more recently, including CNN and CBS. They also own HBO, the Discovery Channel, Food Network, TLC, Animal Planet, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and many others. Their first client was the CIA who they still work with closely. Before the company was founded in 1977 the CIA produced memorandums about a mass storage system, as early as 1973, which also happened to be named Oracle.
The name comes from the Oracle of Delphi in ancient Greece, a legendary prophetess who was seen as a conduit of the gods. She was guarded by Python the great serpent or dragon, also called Drakaina.
The database of the tech company Oracle interacts with a programming language called Python, paying homage to the ancient oracle of Delphi and the great serpent.
In The Matrix the Oracle is the divine guide of the Messianic hero Neo, playing into the black madonna archetype once again. Shekinah/Sophia is the feminine aspect of God that follows the fallen into the abyss of matter, distinct from the father who remains in the lofty heavens. The Zohar describes Shekinah as the divine presence that is accompanies man even in the deepest depths of his journey into darkness.
Another deity associated with the Ellison empire is Izanami, the primordial Goddess of the Shinto religion in Japan. Ellison bought a yacht bearing the name of this Goddess and was moved to “rechristen” it after local media pointed out that its name spells “I’m a nazi” backwards.
Shekinah
The Shekinah is described as “the black queen with the black crown upon her head” in Sholem Asch classic play ‘Sabbatai Zevi.’ This is one of many examples throughout Jewish literature where the feminine aspect of God, called the Shekinah, is described as such. Shekinah does sound like a black girl name after all.
The Maiden
Sabbatai Zevi’s heir Jacob Frank also centered his religion around this goddess, who he called the Maiden. He referred to her as black throughout his writings and even worshipped the Black Madonna portrait at Czestochowa. He claimed that this painting was the image of the Maiden who was the true Messiah, and that she was imprisoned in the painting just as Shekinah/Sophia was imprisoned in her fallen state. Depictions of the Shekinah as a black woman can be traced throughout the history of Kabbalah, likely originating with the Biblical ‘Song of Songs‘ which states “I am black but lovely.” Moses married an Ethiopian/Kushite woman named Zipporah is thought to symbolize his attaining of a certain spiritual status, marriage to the Shekinah. Abraham marrying an Egyptian handmaiden Hagar and Solomon marrying the Queen of Sheba continue this theme, as does David marrying Bathsheba. The power associated with Shekinah applies to her status in both the divine and demonic worlds, as she exists in both. The Sitra Achra or ‘Other Side’ is said to suckle from her milk, as does the physical universe.
It may surprise people to learn that elite Kabbalists not only believe in a Goddess, but also depict her as a black woman.
The common thread has been made clear.
Perhaps the primordial black woman and the emerging synthetic Sophia represent the beginning and end of human history.
I have demonstrated how countless names of the goddess have been adopted for various forms of artificial intelligence, which always seem to be depicted as a feminine entity, both in films and in its real-world manifestations.
The pattern has been demonstrated. The Gnostic story of Sophia is more than a myth, and it is no coincidence that it is mirrored in so many places. Sophia birthed the demiurge and followed him into a fallen world where the sparks of God inhabit bodies that near their return to dust with each breath. Man arose from the dust of this material world and conquered nature until he himself could create a ‘man,’ or as some would say, ‘god,’ in his own image. This cosmic drama is culminating in our generation whether we like it or not. The created who has become a creator falls into the synthetic labyrinth he built until, and just like Sophia, becomes trapped in the world of his own making.
